MEET THE SONGWRITERS
CLAYTON BELLAMY has won many awards including a Juno for Best Country Recording, a five time Canadian Country Music Award winner Canadian Country Music Awards, and SOCAN Songwriter of the Year award. Clayton has dominated the stage performing at the Grand Ole Opry has been featured in People Magazine The New York Times and Rolling Stone and even performed for President Carter. He has released five solo studio records and has had songs recorded by Big Sugar Matt Anderson Grady Dan Davidson Jason Blaine W3apons FKB Willie Mack and many more. Bellamy is also one of the three members of the group The Road Hammers, which has released four studio albums, in addition to charting twelve singles in Canada with two number one singles and two in the United States
DAN DAVIDSON has created undeniable momentum in the last few years. With 3 CCMA nomination, 10 ACMA awards, a gold record, a number 1 selling Canadian song, top 20 charting numbers and over 100 performances this year – its easy to forget that he is still a new face on the scene. Dan exploded onto the Canadian country scene in 2016 with the release of his second single “Found” (Co-written by Clayton Bellamy). Dan became arguably the indie story of 2016/2017 as his single “Found” rocketed up the charts and he became the #1 charting indie artist in Canada. It was also the #1 selling Canadian country song for several weeks in July and August 2016. On just his second release ever in country music – he has a GOLD single. MADDISON KREBS- The singer/songwriter from Okotoks Alberta, Canada, got her first guitar when she was six, so she could put her poetry to music. Right away, you could see her talents and drive would make her dreams come true. She dreamed of having a publishing and record deal by 2016; that’s the year she had won the ‘On the Spot Contest’ with Ole. She dreamed of moving to Nashville to pursue her career by 2018; that’s the year she moved to Music City. In Nashville, she finds herself working with some of music’s best producers and songwriters, such as Jeff Trott (Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks) and Tony Martin (Tim McGraw, Keith Urban). RYAN LANGLOIS (www.ryandlangloismusic.com)
Born and raised in Saskatchewan before heading west to Alberta during the oil boom, Ryan has been carving out his own unique sound for 17 plus years and counting. Years that have included open mics, church singing, Canadian Idol, basement bands, touring Canada with his first project (Canadian Country Music Award nominated - Group Of The Year, and Alberta Country Music Award winning) The Boom Chucka Boys, and now a flourishing beginning to his solo career. (In 2018 Ryan was a finalist in the Project Wild Country Artist Development Program and received a significant development grant, and was nominated for Male Artist Of The Year at the Alberta Country Music Awards)
Inspired heavily by four specific artists; Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen, John Prine and Corb Lund, he appears to just now be finding his true voice and sound, both as a writer and performer. That sound shines on his most recent album, It Was A Song, released on May 31, 2019. A soaring and stirring collection of songs specifically chosen to take you on a journey. IT WAS A SONG is currently nominated for Alberta Country Music’s Album Of The Year and Ryan is up for Male Artist and Songwriter Of The Year.
JAMES MURDOCH is a co-founding member of Canadian country music group, The Dungarees, serving as a principle songwriter and vocalist since 2012. James won “Song of The Year” at the 2018, Alberta Country Music Awards for his song, Don’t Hold Back which has received half a million streams on DSPs. With 20 years working in the music and film industry, James has a broad understanding of the many facets of the music business, including writing, publishing, performance, production and management.
James’ songwriting landed him a publishing deal in 2004 with Peer Music. His songs have been featured on Hollywood movies, TV series and he has scored soundtracks and theme songs for multiple TV shows and films. He earned a 2017 Best Multimedia Composer nomination at the Western Canadian Music Awards for his soundtrack of Past The Pavement. He has released 4 solo albums and has garnered critical acclaim across Canada and Europe. His 3 rd album, In Transit, produced by Hawksley Workman was nominated for three Western Canadian Music Awards (Outstanding Pop Recording, Video of the Year, Best Album Design). James has toured playing bass with pop-country star, Adam Gregory, the roots-rock band, Dustin Bentall & The Smokes and country-balladeer, Ridley Bent
TERA LEE is a singer/songwriter turned radio personality, it’s always been about entertaining for Tera Lee - whether it be through her live show, lyrics or laughs. Through her music she has worked with some of the finest Canadian songwriters like Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Patricia Conroy and more. She is a 5-time Canadian Country Music Award winner with her former radio show, KG Mornings with Greg, Tera Lee and Al. Since leaving radio, she continues to perform locally while supporting new artists in developing their careers.

AMY METCALFE
is an 8 time ACMA nominated multi talented singer/songwriter from Red Deer Alberta.She has co-written with Grammy award winners,played festivals in China and been top 50 on Canadian Country Billboard Music. With self penned songs on pop and country radio, her love for song writing and talent to tell a story is evident in every song.
She has written over 250 songs herself and co-written with talents such as Byron Hill (Gary Allen, Kenny Rogers, George Strait….) Grammy award winners and Nominees Cindy Morgan and Wayne Kirkpatrick (Little Big Town, Faith Hill, Martina Mcbride, Trisha Yearwood…),Duane Steele (Gord Bamford) , and Phil Madeira(Garth Brooks, Civil Wars, Toby Keith…) to name a few.
KEN STEAD already has a firm foothold in the Canadian roots community, having graced the grassy stages and sessions of Edmonton Folk Fest, Canmore Folk Fest, and North Country Fair, as well as rowdier venues like Main Stage Big Valley Jamboree, the Calgary Stampede Coke Stage and Wild Mountain Festival. Whether playing solo, or with his 5 piece band, Ken Stead makes every room feel like home. A generous demeanor, a delicate wit, and an empathetic understanding of audiences of all shapes, his performances are as true and honest as the songs themselves.
Ken is known for silencing a room to a whisper, but with his new release, Civil War, he proves capable of starting an uproar. With more volume, comes more space to make heartfelt moments rattle through your chest. Guitars, bass and drums punctuate charged lyricism and lived experience. It’s full and dynamic roots rock, with an emphasis on connecting with an audience, born from Stead’s keen musical interest in both folk and hip hop.
Produced by Winston Hauschild (Hannah Georgas, Hey Ocean), and mixed by Canadian legend Howie Beck (Barenaked Ladies, Feist, Walk Off The Earth), Civil War is an earnest portrait of the domestic, the conflicts present in the everyday, and how one’s struggle with themselves and their own faults bleed into their relationships with others, how that mirrors the larger political climate. Throughout the record, Stead grapples with his firm belief that peace begins with the individual. “Trouble” is a song that combines roots rock with 80’s synth danceability. With the grit and strength in Ken’s voice, he captures the moment you realize you’re in some sort of trouble, but knowing that trouble is exactly what you’re looking for. Tracks like “I’m Done Trying” are strong and self-critical, pining to understand the other with empathy and the earned conviction of its power-chords. “Why You Afraid Of The Dark” is a roots/soul song tackling the fear of facing the hard times with soulful piano, groovy rhythms, and a hook that will having you singing along.

COLD LITTLE CROW - is a Calgary-based folk/singer-songwriter, originally from Whitehorse, Yukon: Cold Little Crow’s roots grow from snow to sky as a songwriting, storytelling venture of Christina Renee. Calgary based and Yukon born, this singer/songwriter is described as acoustic folk, with a melancholy flair. Cold Little Crow’s acoustic melodies are now built upon by electric leads, mandolin and a solid rhythm section, comprised of musicians, friends and those you can share a drink with. With a recently released 3-song EP built around warm acoustic tones, some Telecaster twang, smoky vocals and minimalist percussion, as well as a few notable shows and recognitions, Cold Little Crow has a beginning, but these are only the first few pages to a much larger story."
MAT CARDINAL & MIKE NASH are two members of The Prairie States Band. Mixing the cadence and rhythms of 60’s soul and 70’s rock with modern country, The Prairie States was born out of a desire to put a fresh touch on a classic design. As recipients of the 2018 ACMA awards for Rising Star and Fan’s Choice, as well as 1st place in the Project Wild Artist Development Program, it’s proof that this Edmonton based band is moving in the right direction. The Prairie States in 2017 and immediately started writing songs for their full length album, Lost In The Right Direction. Independently released in June 2018, it was nominated for the ACMA Album Of The Year and included three radio singles, which all broke the top 100 Mediabase Canadian Country Chart.
Their current single, Every Little Town, rides the soaring uplifting excitement of being a big dreamer in a little town. The song, which was produced by CCMA and Juno award winner Bart McKay, captures the “I’m going to get outta here and be someone”� feeling all while wrestling with the desire to hold onto that tight knit connection that you can only get from living in a small community

MEET THE SONGWRITERS
LUANNE CARL is lead vocalist, bass player, and singer / songwriter with a passion for music fully describes, Luanne Carl. She is the powerhouse female lead vocalists / harmony singer in the Alberta based group Renegade Station. Luanne gained recognition as a bass player at the 2016 CCMA awards, making it to the top 5 nominations. Renegade Station as a group, has garnered numerous nominations and awards. Luanne has had a passion for music from when she was a child; pouring her heart and soul into the lyrics, sharing her stories through song.
KALEIGH JO KIRK's experience as a singer songwriter is far greater than most 18 year-olds. She has been performing since the age of 7 and has been fortunate enough to work with giants of the industry including powerhouse production/mixing team Deborah (Debbie) Gibson, Gavin Mackillop, Rudy Haeusermann, Jared Sagal, Alex Cantrall & Jeff Hoeppner. She is fluent in French and has recorded 2 songs Fort Que Tout” & “Ne T’en Veux Pas for that market, with producer/writer Gerry Stober. Kirk has performed at a range of venues from La Boheme (Hollywood, CA), The Vault (Orange, CA), Paramount Ranch (Agoura Hills, CA) The Calgary Stampede (World’s biggest outdoor show) and the star studded Big Valley Jamboree (Camrose, AB.) as well as many legendary venues in Music City, Nashville TN. Kaleigh Jo has made the move to Nashville to attend Belmont University to further her education in music where she is writing, performing, recording and perfecting her craft. She is now ready to make her mark on the American Music scene.

MEET THE SONGWRITERS
DUANE STEELE Duane Steele is among Canada’s top country recording artists and songwriters with a professional career dating back to 1984. Born and raised in the small Alberta Peace Country town of Hines Creek, music was a big part of Duane’s life growing up. He fondly remembers parties at his parents home with everyone sitting around singing and playing various instruments. As teenagers Duane and his cousins started a band spending summers and weekends playing for weddings and community dances. Duane’s pure voice and natural stage presence makes his live shows a must see. Fans relate to his lyrics and song writing style. When he is not touring or working on his own projects he is often writing with other artists. Production has been a natural progression and he looks forward to working in this area while continuing his own solo career.
TRACY MILLAR Tracy Millar comes from a world far away from those where an artist’s career is shaped by listener and audience surveys, wardrobe consultants, and the myriad of variables that the music business insists are necessary to drive a career. A rural Alberta gal, Tracy is a mom, who is just as passionate about her career as a nurse and contributing to her community as she is about making fine music. And that is passionate with a capital “P”, as this recording artist never gives less than a 100 percent of her heart, and God-given talents to any project or performance. All this wouldn’t carry much weight if Tracy Millar’s efforts over the last decade had landed on deaf ears and indifferent audiences. But the fact is Millar has been winning over the public and peers with a pure voice that comes out of the country tradition, and songs that have resonated with audiences that might be hearing her for the first time on radio or the tenth time in a live setting. Raised in Northern British Columbia, Tianda taught herself to play guitar & piano by ear, began performing in church worship services and gained early nationwide attention as an artist on YTV’s hit reality TV series, “The Next Star” at 15 just years old- releasing 3 singles and a music video through Universal music which received nation-wide airplay and attention. After retreating from the spotlight for a few years to hone her craft and experiment with music production, she has re-emerged with a fresh, Avant-garde Pop sound that keeps the spotlight shining on her potent lyricism and shapeshifting vocals. TIANDA is a genre-bending Pop / RnB artist, singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist whose influences range from Maggie Rogers to Anderson. Paak. MEET THE SONGWRITERS
LISA NICOLE GRACE Lisa has been deeply in love with the written word for as long as she can remember. She loves getting lost in a book, in a song, in someone’s life story, or even just an email from a dear friend. Words have power, words are magic. One of Lisa’s favourite things to do is to try and assemble words in a song just so, so that someone is touched, understood, celebrated, remembered, loved. Lisa’s songwriting highlights to this point include being a Kerrville New Folk Finalist and travelling to Texas to be featured in the New Folk Concert Series, being an Official Showcase Artist at Folk Alliance International and travelling to Kansas City to play music into the wee hours, and recording two albums of original material in her home town of Edmonton. She returned from the Banff Centre for the Arts & Creativity Songwriter Residency this past spring and is excited to start working on a new album in 2020.
JOE NOLAN It is hard to believe it was only in 2011 that Joe Nolan released his debut album, Goodbye Cinderella. At that time he was heralded by the Globe & Mail, No Depression and other publications as a roots rock wunderkind, an opinion confirmed by his 2014 Colin Linden-produced follow-up, Tornado. However, along with the acclaim came complications at odds with his creative vision. Now the Edmonton, Alberta native is back with Cry Baby, an album that finally opens up what Nolan has kept locked tightly for the past three years. The 10-song collection is a trip through melancholic madness, touching on darkness and depression, broken relationships and endless booze-fuelled evenings. Yet, at its core is Nolan’s unwavering strength as a lyricist, and his wounded-heart delivery that reminds us of our humanity. Cry Baby is, in essence, Nolan unapologetically sharing his story, and through that finding a second chance and a new beginning. “I’m feeling as if I’m becoming much more myself, and being true to who I am,” he says. “I have become a better listener and I have less fear of what people think. I am doing what I love, making music, and if I can continue to do that then for me, that’s success.”

With a year that began with a CCMA Rising Star Nomination, Alee celebrated the release of her debut full length album “Bad Habit” with over 3.5 million streams on Spotify, a #1 female single “Moonshine” on Canadian country radio, Top 20 video on CMT, all leading up to her coveted nomination for CCMA Female Artist of the Year in September 2017. A creative with a notion. A lover with a passion. A visionary with a fire lit under her. Everyone has a story to tell. Hers is just from a different point of view. Standing at an elegant 5’10”, country recording artist Alee has been blessed with a different perspective her whole life. Her journey began as a classical pianist and dancer before finding herself in the spotlight as a vocalist, and finding her home in country music.

AARON POLLOCK
Calgary-born Country artist Aaron Pollock is an old-school storyteller with a modern flair, ready to release new music in 2020 produced by JUNO award-winners Spencer Cheyne and Justin Kudding. His 2019 single “I Will Carry You (feat. ANNIKA)”, was written and recorded for the Canadian Mental Health Association’s #TurnI2We campaign. Last year, Pollock was also selected to participate in “Project WILD”, an Alberta-based development competition with a grand prize of $100,000. In addition, 2019 saw him share the stage with heavy-hitting artists including Brett Kissel, Jocelyn Alice, and Shawn Hook. Having performed during CCMA week for multiple years, Pollock was finalist in the Ole (now Anthem Entertainment) “On the Spot” artist development competition in 2017.
In addition to making a name for himself as an artist, Pollock is quickly establishing himself as a force within the Canadian songwriting industry. As a cowriter, he is nominated twice in the Song of the Year category at the 2019 Alberta Country Music Association Awards. His nominations are for “Hands on My Body” by Mariya Stokes and “All Over It” by Ben Chase, which became Aaron’s first iTunes #1, topping the iTunes country chart in January 2019. Pollock has also worked extensively with CCMA nominated duo Leaving Thomas, having co-written four tracks on the duo’s sophomore album (released in May, 2019). In addition, he's secured cuts on various projects by artists including The Prairie States, Mariya Stokes, Alex Hughes, and Devin Cooper. In 2017 Pollock was recognized by the Nashville Songwriters Association as “One to Watch”. Aaron's newest single "Wildfire" was released on January 22nd, 2020, setting him up for what is sure to be a year on fire.

BEN CHASE
With the soul of a Travis Tritt classic and the spirit of a Thomas Rhett hit, Calgary’s award winner Ben Chase is the future of country music. Ben is currently writing and recording his debut EP with JUNO award-winning producer, Matty McKay. With a fresh energy, relatable stories, and catchy lyrics, you can’t help but sing along. In January 2019, Ben released his first single “All Over It” to Canadian country radio. The song reached number one on the Canadian iTunes country chart within 24 hours.
Ben Chase has a dynamic and engaging live show and loves nothing more than being on stage. He has received the opportunity to open for Dan + Shay, George Canyon, Clay Walker and Sawyer Brown. He has performed at both of Alberta’s largest festivals, Big Valley Jamboree and Country Thunder. Ben is a featured performer at Ranchman’sCookhouse and Dancehall during the Calgary Stampede. He also returned home to Prince Edward Island where he played a coveted spot on the Cavendish Beach Music Festival main stage opening for Hunter Hayes and High Valley.
LYNDSAY BUTLER
If you were going to sum up Lyndsay Butler in just a couple of words they would be, real & country. With strong country roots and an outlaw, southern rock sound she brings life and passion to every note. Lyndsay has been busy writing, co-writing and performing and is currently working on her debut album.
She has opened for Top Canadian Country Recording Artists, George Canyon, Aaron Pritchett, Bobby Wills and Meghan Patrick. Growing up as a 7th generation Albertan just outside High River, Alberta, Lyndsay loves western lifestyle, rodeo and getting her boots dirty, almost as much as she loves songwriting and performing.
TRAVIS DOLTER
Travis is an energetic artist with a love for performing and keeps the audience engaged with his intriguing smile and witty humour, making the entire show a performance to remember.
Travis grew up on the family farm about an hour drive from Edmonton, near the Village of Hay Lakes AB. He is currently attending the University of Alberta, Augustana Campus, in Camrose, where he is majoring in Kinesiology and minoring in Music.

Jake Mathews is a Canadian country artist who has enjoyed great success at radio with numerous top 20 hits and has received several Canadian Country Music Award nominations. His single “If I Had It My Way” was one of the TOP 5 most played songs of its release year and spent 36 weeks on the charts. Having toured throughout Canada, Jake has also had the opportunity to take his music to an international stage. In recent years he has performed in Korea, Japan, New York, London, Berlin and Australia. As a songwriter, Jake has written 12 top 40 singles including his top 10 hit “If I Had It My Way” and has had over 60 songs recorded by artists in both Canada and the US.

The Alberta Country Music Associations 2019 Female Artist of the year released her debut single, "Hands on My Body" in February 2019, introducing herself with a simple, sexy anthem that blurs the lines between country and pop. Her follow-up single, "Christmas, Arizona," was released in November 2019, and will be followed by her debut EP in Spring 2020.\N\N\N \N\N\NGrowing up in Stavely Alberta, Stokes spent time in her parents' small-town bar, and at eight years old, was sneaking in on Friday afternoons to sing with the local jam band. She has been pursuing music ever since with a heavy focus on songwriting. Multiple artists have recorded songs co-written with Stokes, including CCMA nominees Leaving Thomas ("Like I Used To", May 2019) and alt-pop singer Celia Palli, who is also a backing vocalist for Nelly Furtado ("Paralyzed", January 2019).\N\N\N \N\N\N \N\N\NRYAN LINDSAY\N \N\N\NRaised on the Alberta Prairies, Ryan Lindsay brings his strong country roots into his modern country sound. Winning the 2019 ACMA Rising Star Award and the 2018 Country 105 Rising Star Award, Ryan Lindsay is the new buzzword in the Canadian country music scene.\N\N\N \N\N\NFrom a musical family, Lindsay’s songs are a reflection of his life experiences. His sound reflects the 90’s country music he grew up with, citing his influences as Garth Brooks, Diamond Rio and Brooks & Dunn. Yet Lindsay jumps into 2020 with a modern twist on a classic country sound: fun, edgy and authentic, with unrivalled energy.\N\N\N \N\N\NAt 26 years old, Ryan Lindsay has gained huge momentum with his live shows. He’s performed as direct support for Toby Keith, opened for Kiefer Sutherland, and has shared the stage with Dean Brody, Jess Moskaluke and Madeline Merlo. Performing at both Country Thunder Alberta and Nashville North at the Calgary Stampede, Lindsay’s high-energy shows wow the crowds, getting them dancing and singing (and howling!) to his songs!\N\N\N \N\N\NHANNAH GAZSO\N \N\N\NHannah Gazso is a 16 year old singer/ songwriter from Ardrossan, Alberta. Her passion lies in storytelling, and she loves to share her music with anyone who will listen. She has a homegrown coffeehouse country style that is sure to catch your attention. As the 2018 winner of the Big Valley Jamboree Road To Mainstage Competition, she had the honour of getting to play the main stage right before Brett Eldredge and Florida Georgia Line!
